Meet the Professors…
Kristen Kansiewicz, Ph.D., LPC
Dr. Kristen Kansiewicz (“Dr. K”) is an Assistant Professor of Counseling and Program Director for the graduate counseling program at Evangel University. A licensed counselor since 2008, she specializes in integrating professional mental health services within church settings. Dr. K developed the Church Therapy model and has conducted research on its effectiveness, as well as on clergy well-being and mental health in the church. She lives in Springfield, Missouri, with her husband, Joshua, their two children, and a lively collection of pets.
Mitchell Easter, M.A.
Mitchell Easter is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Ozarks Teen Challenge. A dedicated leader with a passion for helping youth and families, he brings extensive experience in staff development and organizational leadership. Formerly the National Director of Learning for Adult & Teen Challenge, Mitchell has a deep understanding of the challenges facing today’s youth. He holds a B.S. in Interdisciplinary and Bible Studies from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and an M.A. in Public Administration with a focus in Emergency Management from Missouri State University. He is also a licensed Assemblies of God minister.
Mark McDonald, M.A.
Mark McDonald serves as the Southwest Missouri Representative with the Missouri Credentialing Board, where he is Vice President and a member of the Ethics Committee. An approved trainer for the LPC, LCSW, LMFT, and LADC boards in Oklahoma, he also serves as a trainer of trainers for the Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC) in Clinical Supervision and Recovery Support. Mark provides training, supervision, and consultation for recovery programs and clinicians across Missouri. He also counsels with Ozark Center in Neosho and works with the McDonald and Newton County Treatment Courts, contributing to program development, professional growth, and service excellence.
